Poletergeist at the Air Force Base

My family was stationed at FE Warren AFB from 1971-73. We lived in the brick quarters #124--A.  I do have some stories of what we occured in this place.

I was only in the third grade at the time so I was pretty much left out of the adult conversations of the occurances that happened in our residence.  My father was a believer in logic more than curricumstance so he was not easily swayed on here-say.  A few years later when we were stationed at Offitt AFB, Omaha, did my father start to talk about what happened at Qtr's 124-A.

He said that at almost a nightly time, would he hear footsteps in the attic (which was finished and my oldest brther had a bedroom there) there were always six paces north, and six paces south.  My father would climb the stairs and see if my brother was up wandering about, but only to find him asleep.  As he would return down the stairs, the paces would begin.  He was told by the Major who lived prior to us that there was a spirit named "Gus" who lived there.  Gus was a friendly spirit but would become active when there was peril ahead.  His reason for this information was while he and his wife and children resided in Qtr's 124-A they would hear the paces in the attic, blowing it off as ordinary creeks.  One evening while celebrating his wife's birthday there was an unusual occurance.  They had some friends over to celebrate and have dinner.  His wife was an avid lover of music and played the guitar so his gift to her was that.  After opening the presents, they excused themselves to the dinning room for dinner.  All of a sudden there was a crash from the room they just left.  Upon returning, they found the guitar that he gave to her smashed on the floor (mind yout the children where at the sitter's for the evening).  They brushed it off as an accident.  A week later, he heard crashing sounds coming from the kitchen.  He came downstairs and entered the kitchen to find pots and pans being hurled about in the air.  He thought maybe he was dreaming so picked up on of the pots that was lying on the floor and threw it into the caous, only for it to be flung back at him causing six stitches in his fourhead (which his showed the scar to my father).  A week later, his wife was diagnosed with an accelerated case of luekiemia (sp) and died within six months.
