Matthew Baxter (or just "Baxter" as he is referred to) has backgrounds in IT (software and  hardware), design, photo and video editing, electronics, audio  (recording, production, and engineering) with EQ band ear training,  extensive study into world religions and metaphysical beliefs and  practices.  He has been actively researching the paranormal for over 15 years dealing with such specialties as UFOs, ghosts, demonology, fraud detection, psychology, and cleansings, among other areas.

Like most people involved in the paranormal, he holds several ordinations and degrees with multiple non-denominational organizations but doesn't attach their dubious letters (such as "Dr.") to his name.  Baxter tends to collect the same credentials as other researchers just prove that these credentials mean nothing.

"We always approach our research and findings with a scientific mind  first.  It is, admittedly, rather difficult to gather physical proof  for something non-physical!  Science, by its own methods, is securely fastened to measurable phenomena. In the case of paranormal research, all the we can witness and record are the consequences and not the cause of the phenomena.  We do not, when documenting something not yet explained, jump to the conclusion that it is paranormal.  We suspend judgement until all the facts are in."
